Kaspersky Cloud Workload Security Update

Kaspersky has announced an update to its Cloud Workload Security (CWS) offering, introducing AI-powered workload analysis, enhanced integrations, and performance optimisations.

This update is designed for modern DevOps and hybrid cloud environments, providing centralised visibility across workloads, Kubernetes clusters, and cloud platforms.

The solution supports runtime protection, shift-left security practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.

AI-Powered Vulnerability Analysis

The latest update features integration with OpenAI API within the Kaspersky Container Security (KCS) module, resulting in the creation of a new Advanced Pro license.

This capability offers contextual descriptions of detected vulnerabilities and potential risks, which helps accelerate investigations, reduce knowledge gaps, and support faster decision-making.

By enriching container image scanning results with automated explanations and risk context generated by third-party large language models, teams can prioritise remediation and streamline security operations.

Enhanced Security Features

Additional improvements in the CWS include single sign-on (SSO) integration and multi-domain Active Directory support, facilitating seamless deployment across distributed enterprise environments.

To optimise performance, Kaspersky CWS enhances image scanning efficiency by skipping oversized images when necessary and avoiding rescans of identical images within a predefined timeframe.

Expanded security policy capabilities and UX/UI updates further simplify the user experience, ensuring that organisations can effectively manage their cloud workload security.

IPA Translation Turns CISA Security Goals Into A Japan Infrastructure Baseline

Japan’s Information-technology Promotion Agency published a Japanese translation of CISA’s Cross-Sector Cybersecurity Performance Goals Version 2.0 for domestic critical infrastructure operators. The guidance covers IT and operational technology, maps goals to NIST CSF 2.0, and frames the controls as minimum practices rather than a full cybersecurity program. The practical test is whether asset owners use the worksheet to rank gaps by cost, complexity and impact, then review progress after 12 months.
