Viettel eyes Dominican Republic launch with $560m investment plan
Viettel has reportedly approved a $560 million plan to launch telecoms operations in the Dominican Republic.
If it proceeds, the Vietnamese operator would become the country’s fourth mobile operator alongside Claro, Altice and Viva.
Its first two years are expected to focus on mobile services, fixed broadband and mobile money, before a wider push into digital infrastructure and services.
