A new Amazon Web Services data centre in Hyderabad has become part of Telangana's wider investment pitch, after PTI reported that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone and urged the company to raise its Bharat Future City plan to Rs 1 lakh crore by 2034.

The public record lists large investment targets, but it does not name committed customers for the site or disclose its planned capacity.

Telangana Asked AWS For Rs 1 Lakh Crore By 2034

The foundation stone was laid at Bharat Future City, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, in the presence of state Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu and other officials.

PTI reported that Telangana has set a $1 trillion economy target for 2034 and a $3 trillion target for 2047, while the same report placed the union government's 2047 national-economy target at $30 trillion.

Telangana currently contributes five percent of national GDP.state wants that share to rise to 10 percent, and the chief minister told the cloud provider that its USD seven billion plan over the next 14 years was not enough for the state's goal., according to The CM.

Hyderabad And Mumbai Remain The AWS Capacity Focus

A press release cited by PTI listed more than $1.3 billion in cloud infrastructure investment in the AWS Asia Pacific (Hyderabad) Region by the end of 2025, more than $21 billion planned for national cloud infrastructure between 2026 and 2030, and a wider $48 billion countrywide investment plan announced by CEO Andy Jassy.

The planned cloud spending is directed towards data centre capacity in Hyderabad and Mumbai.

According to the release, the capacity is intended to give startups, enterprises and government organisations access to custom AI chips, managed AI services, secure cloud technologies and developer tools.

Telangana Rising 2047 Supplies The Policy Frame

The state government has unveiled a policy document called Telangana Rising 2047.

Reddy said the state needs investments, infrastructure and employment to move towards its economic targets.

The chief minister also committed the state government to supporting the company and reviewing the investment process every month with officials.

He described the AWS foundation-stone ceremony as a signal for other companies to consider operations in Bharat Future City.

Anurag Khilnani, AWS Director of Data Centre Delivery, linked the Hyderabad infrastructure launch in 2022 to deeper AWS investment in sustainable cloud data centre operations in Telangana.

His statement connected that work to demand from national digital and AI programmes.

Capacity And Customer Details Remain Undisclosed

The disclosed record supports the foundation-stone event, the Rs 1 lakh crore request, AWS's national cloud investment targets and the Hyderabad-Mumbai capacity focus.

It does not name the new site's megawatt capacity, construction timetable, anchor customers, contract values, power arrangements or the share of that cloud spending assigned specifically to Bharat Future City.
